Terms
The deal, in the fewest words we can write it in.
Last updated 15 September 2026. These terms are between your business and Wide Ocean Ventures LLC, San Diego, California — the company behind JobDesk.
The short version. $39 per tech per month, everything included. Your data is yours and leaves whenever you want it to. Either of us can end this at any time. We will not promise you the internet never goes down, and we will not pretend a small company can be sued for your lost profits.
What you get
JobDesk is two apps: one your crew uses on their phones, and one your office uses on a computer. The phone app works without signal and uploads when it finds some.
We add things to it. Occasionally we take something away, and if we do, we tell you first.
What it costs
$39 per tech, per month. Everything is included — every feature, support, and as much data as you put in. You pay for the people who take jobs; your office staff and your owner cost nothing.
How and when you pay is agreed in writing when you sign up. There is no automatic card billing today — we invoice you. If that changes, you will know before it does, and you will never be charged for something you did not agree to.
Your data is yours
Everything your shop puts into JobDesk — jobs, customers, addresses, photos, prices — belongs to your business, not to ours. We hold it so the software works, and for nothing else.
- Take it out whenever you like. Settings → Export your data, in the office app. No limits, no asking first, no notice period.
- We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything.
- Ask us to delete it and we will. See the privacy page for exactly how, and for the one honest caveat about photo backups.
You are responsible for what goes in: that you are allowed to hold your customers’ details, and that what your people write is true. We do not check it and we cannot.
What we promise, and what we don’t
We promise to look after your data — the database and every photo are backed up nightly, to two different companies, and the photo backup is built so that nothing can delete it.
We do not promise JobDesk will never be down. It runs on other companies’ infrastructure and so does everything else on the internet. When it breaks we fix it, and you can always reach a person. If we ever sell you an uptime guarantee, it will be a separate piece of paper with a number on it — not a sentence buried on this page.
The software is provided as it is. We are a small company and there is a limit to what you can recover from us: whatever you have paid us in the last 12 months. Neither of us can claim from the other for lost profits or business. That is the ordinary bargain for software at this price, and we would rather say it plainly than in capital letters.
Using it properly
Don’t use JobDesk to break the law, to store information you have no right to hold, or to attack the service. Don’t share one login between people — everyone gets their own, and the record of who did what is worth nothing otherwise.
We can suspend an account that is doing one of those things. We will tell you why, and we will give you your data.
Ending it
You can stop whenever you like — tell us, export your data, done. We do not do notice periods, cancellation fees, or a phone call where somebody tries to talk you out of it. We will refund the unused part of anything you have paid in advance.
We can end it too, with 30 days’ notice, and your data stays available to export for that whole time. If you ever get an email from us saying JobDesk is closing down, it will arrive with enough notice to get everything out and a hand getting it into whatever you choose next.
If these terms change
We email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page changes. If you don’t like the new terms, that is a fine reason to leave, and the paragraph above applies.
The legal bit
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the courts of San Diego County. If some part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands.
This page and the privacy page are the whole agreement between us, along with anything we have both signed.
